21 Weeks Today!

How far along: 21 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +1lb total.

Maternity clothes: Yup, working on finding more that are work appropriate.

Stretch marks: Nope....

Sleep: Some night better then others.

Best moment this week: Getting to see the little bean! Rolling around and punching! Bean totally didn't like the ultrasound at all!

Movement: Yup! The Bean has been kicking and punching me for about 2 weeks now! Crazy!

Food Cravings: Still loving my bagel with Cream Cheese, Avacado's and hummus have been biggies too.

Food Aversions: Seems to be getting much better. Still some days where stuff just doesn't sound good, but overall anything goes!

Gender: Still no thoughts on this.

Belly Button: still in...hoping it stays that way for a long time.

What I miss: Sushi! We went to Japanese food for my birthday dinner and I got Hibachi for the first time! Usually I get sushi and just eat off Tim's plate the stuff he doesn't eat (shrimp, onions etc). No such luck this time!

What I am looking forward to: New Year's with the sisters and family! Cannot wait!

Weekly Wisdom: Still working on the Drink, Drink, Drink thing!

Milestones: Half way done!

And, for just a little fun.......a picture of the little bean!

Love you guys!

Food Aversions: Anything that doesn't sound good the second time. :-) This hasn't changed

Gender: No idea....people are still guessing left and right.

Belly Button: still in.

What I miss: Still clothing....I miss some of my favorite shirts and pants and look at the same ole maternity clothes every day! Boring!

What I am looking forward to: U/S and Dr's appointment on Tuesday. We get to see the bean actually looking like a baby! Well at least we hope it looks like a baby!!

Weekly Wisdom: Do not get sick while pregnant! Ha! But seriously....coughing makes me feel sick....

Milestones: Half way there! I can't believe we are already in the second half.

On a better note, the Hypermesis seems to have calmed down a bit. I am beginning to like food a little better!

How far along: 18 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Dunno...we don't own a scale and I still haven't been to the doctor since last update.

Maternity clothes: Yup, Comfy comfy comy!

Stretch marks: Nope....

Sleep: Still not my friend. Getting better but still waking up at about 3 each morning. Fun, really.

Best moment this week: Feeling the baby! Little butterfly flutters!

Movement: See above!!!

Food Aversions: eh, this goes day by day.

Gender: Still no thoughts on this...Liz is still convinced its a girl and now Nate thinks so too!

Belly Button: still in.

What I miss: Not having to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom!

What I am looking forward to: The weekend....the countdown to my birthday....countdown to seeing the seesters again!

Weekly Wisdom: Eat when hungry. I have figured out that if I even put it off for 10 minutes the hunger feeling might pass and then food just seems yucky

Week 15

I apologize in advance, but I did not get a chance to take a belly shot yet this week. I will try to take one tomorrow and get it added to this post......don't yell....please.....

How far along: 15 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: none! I had lost weight initially and have only just barely made it back up to pre-pg weight. So a total of nada!

Maternity clothes: Yup, pants at least. I just couldn't make it through the day in regular pants anymore.

Stretch marks: Nope....

Sleep: Getting a little better. Still waking up super early but better than no sleep at all.

Best moment this week: Getting to tell a number of our friends who we had been waiting to see in person to tell them. Lots of fun!

Movement: nope, not yet. Still too soon.

Food Cravings: Bagel with Cream Cheese, Peanut butter and Jelly

Food Aversions: Anything that doesn't sound good the second time. :-) This hasn't changed

Gender: Still no thoughts on this...although Liz is convinced it is a girl.....as are a number of our friends

Belly Button: still in...hoping it stays that way for a long time.

What I miss: my clothes....I am starting to run thin on shirts now too! They aren't long enough.

What I am looking forward to: Regularly scheduled Dr's appointment....should get to see the little orange!

Weekly Wisdom: drink, drink, drink.....lots.....its harder than you think when less than 8oz makes you feel like you just ate Turkey Day Dinner!

Milestones: Welcome to the fourth month!

So on another not so fun note, I have been diagnosed with hypermesis...which basically is super ridiculously overactive morning (read:all day) sickness. Instead of the morning sickness getting better towards the end of the first trimester and the beginning of the second, mine got worse. That is why I ended up at the dr on Thursday. I was getting sick almost every time that I ate or drank ANYTHING. That didn't make for very good nutrition or energy......and....... it resulted in severe dehydration. I was given a prescription to take for a week to try to see if it helps things settle down. I will find out this Thursday when I go back. It seems to have at least worked a little. I have held down more of my food overall. I am hoping it has helped with the dehydration as well because if I am dehydrated again when I go in on Thursday, she is going to send me to the hospital for an IV. Boo. Not on my list of things to do this week....or actually.....at all......

So, keep the good thoughts coming our way!

Love you guys!

Week 14

Yup, that is right. We have officially made it to the second Trimester.....and baby is ONLY the size of a:
Below is the typical "belly shot" but you guys get a bonus this week. This was last Thursday 11/5 (Da's bday!!) when I was guest teaching a course at Saint Joseph College.

This is 13weeks4days

How far along: 14 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Dunno...we don't own a scale and I haven't been to the doctor since last update.

Maternity clothes: Went shopping with mom last weekend. We found some good sweaters etc for school and a few pairs of pants. Mostly they are too big yet, but we went to a second hand shop that had a good pick so I grabbed em up for later!

Stretch marks: Nope....

Sleep: Is not my friend...however, I did borrow a body pillow from my bestest friend in the world, Liz. That has helped.....she really is the bestest!

Best moment this week: Telling some of my students. They are sooooo funny. One of them dropped all of his books and his backpack and ran a circle around the classroom! Too funny. Another student asked if she can name the baby....uuuuum yeah lemme think on that one for a second.....nope!

Movement: nope, not yet. Still too soon.

Food Cravings: Not really. Although the desire for food has gotten a bit better....it's just the keeping it down part that is not going so well!

Food Aversions: Anything that doesn't sound good the second time. :-)

Gender: Still no thoughts on this...although Liz is convinced it is a girl.....

Belly Button: still in...hoping it stays that way for a long time.

What I miss: liking food....not getting sick in the morning....or for that matter any time of day....my sisters.... (although I get to see them soon!!!) and last but not least having clothes that fit!

What I am looking forward to: This week? I have a hair appointment on Thursday....haven't had my hair cut since August....oops!

Weekly Wisdom: not having to hide the whole pregnant thing is such a relief!

Milestones: Told my job. Well, at least I told the principal so I don't have to worry about if people find out.

That's all for this week! Talk soon!

Love,

Us

AWWWW--yeah!!! Ok, ladies, for reals, we have got to put this thing back on point.....i am astounded that it has actually been exactly one year from my last post. I think after that i lost my camera....which I am happy to say has been magically relocated. Pics of the new house soon to come, but for now, i can say that i am so happy and grateful for our new home. It is warm, heated by gas, super quiet, has a garage (!), was built 3 mos ago, has new plumbing, and, best of all, and most surprising due to it's location in Santa Cruz, NO MOLD!!!! WOw. Each morning i walk to the end of the street and slip thru a hole in the wrought iron fence with Pooka and walk down to the river trail at the levy. What a way to start the morning; warm mug of tea, river flowing and slowly growing as winter creeps on, herons and other birds eating and being. Oh yeah, and the stream of homeless who are waking up too at that time. I can walk to work and downtown Pacific Ave in 10 minutes or less. YAY!!!

So....yeah, what does the little bugger call me? Auntie Brie is just way to boring. Hmmm...any thoughts?

I love my job! Things have been picking up, finally, and this week i am seeing 21 patients, including an a last minute breech baby turning treatment tonight. The Group Detox project was a huge success. Tonight was our last group check-in meeting, and everyone who did the cleanse for the last 3 weeks feels awesome and is really excited to keep eating the way they have been. It has been so rewarding to not only feel such great clarity and simplicity in my own body and mind, but to literally watch the changes each week in my clients. I am now eating gluten-free for the time being, and it is really fun to come up with new inspiring recipes, esp after the double chocolate chip cookies i made yesterday! Check out the recipe on Goop.com, and look up Baby Cakes NYC also. We are so going when we go to New York for New Years!!!

I still don't know how i am getting to PDX ffor Turkey week, but i am coming if it means walking or hitchhiking (dad if you are reading this, just kidding about the last part--those days are over! What was i thinking?!?!?)

Lexi thanks for my lulu G.C! I am super excited to get my new pants.

Tomorrowis first official day off since we moved....i am going to do office work and drink tea and stretch adn take a bath in my new tub, and walk with pooka, and read, and maybe repot some of my house plants.

Ok Lovies--tag, jeje, you're it!!

A New Year!

Ladies... how we have upheld the Wieselman name by slacking on the updates and being late with regards to EVERYTHING! Good thing we are so loveable... he he

Life is good! This year is such a great one huh? Both of you two have given me the best news that I have EVER heard- and it has been the cause of such a good outlook for me for the year : ) Thank you.

I am in love with the place that we live. I finally found the right spot in Portland- the Northeast- just one block from New Seasons (the best local natural food store), five blocks from our friend Andy, five blocks from Ali and Jeremiah's house, and five from Lauren, Timmy, and Adam's house too! Across the street lies not only Peninsula park, a beautifully manicured masterpiece, but also the original rose gardens. Every day the park reminds me of the scene from Alice and Wonderland when they are painting the roses red! Cooper has a good yard, and our duplex-neighbors are GREAT. They are our age, very chill, and have two pups of their own who keep coop company all of the time. It is so cute; when we leave our back doors open, the two boys will rome in and out of both of the sides of the house like little five year olds playing both moms for a snack. Living with Tessa is great. She is my best friend, and we are in awe at how well everything has worked out. Lately we have been making fires, reading, cooking up stews, carving pumpkins, and making crafts. It makes me miss you guys every time I sit down to the kitchen table to create something kid-like. I remember so well all of the times the three of us sat with mom at the kitchen table and made femo, or stamps, or jewelry, or shrink-its! I also remember us all being around when Mom would stay up with Brie until 4am finishing remarkable high school art projects. Do you have any copies of your old art that I could frame in my house?

Work is good too! I am officially the Assistant Operations Manager, and get to be in charge of a lot more stuff than I had been... it feels better- feels like I am being challenged and actually using some of my business education skills now. I am so looking forward to becoming a merchandiser though!!! I really hope that manifests by the end of the year, and I have a good feeling it may : )

My friends are unbelievable- I can not wait for you to meet them. We have this little family that all live in the neighborhood. We bike to each other's places on the daily, and find ourselves enjoying each other's company at bonfires, wine wednesdays, taco tuesdays, pumpkin carving parties, potlucks, clothing exchanges, or whatever other excuse we conjure up to be together. Last Thursdays have been fun, and so have our friends having shows at local bars.

No boy on the home from right now... im pretty sure you both know the latest with regards to all that... Send some lookers my way please!! Have you both been slacking?? Remember, a guys guy, good with his hands, big personality, pony tails are okay in my book, good eyes, smile, and talented in some way. Thank you! heh heh

I love you both so much and can not wait to hear the updates- you both have some CRAZY good ones, i know it : )

Love you to the moon and back. "G'snoopy, and everything we used to say"

Can not wait for our TWO reunification's this year!

XO,
Mima <----p.s. this is what the little bugger should call me i think, right? hehe

So either life has been really boring or.....

We just really stink at updating this! Either way, we apologize.....I do not know if life has just gotten in the way or if none of us have felt that we have much to say. I think it might be a little of both. I am not sure if we will be keeping this up or not. I will have to pow-ow with the ladies and see if they have any continued interest. I promise....we will let you know if we are going to be better about this!

Sorry guys!
